RESERVATION

Reservation for your car rental on Praslin Island can be made on our website at any time with the vehicle of your choosing. Online reservation requires a 50% prepayment to secure your booking.

Once the prepayment has been received, we will forward you a formal confirmation email along with your voucher stating your specified rental details. The remaining balance is to be settled on the day of rental in Cash Euro, US Dollar, Seychelles Rupees or via Credit Card (see payment terms below)

NOTE: – prepayment is required to secure your car rental; reservation with no prepayment will not be confirmed.

PAYMENT TERMS

After choosing a vehicle from our fleet to suit your travelling party, a 50% prepayment of the rental total is required to secure your reservation. The amount to be prepaid will depend on the seasons and as per the service provider.

The remaining balance is to be settled on the day of your rental and can be paid in Cash Euro, US Dollar, Seychelles Rupees or via Credit Card

Please note if the remaining balance is settled in Credit Card a 3.5% Bank Fee charges will apply only on the outstanding balance.

DELIVERY AND COLLECTION

DELIVERY

JC Car Hire offers free delivery anywhere on Praslin. Whether you prefer to be met at the airport, the ferry terminal, your chosen accommodation or a public space, we can accommodate you at no extra charge.

COLLECTION

We will always meet you on the day of collection of the car at your specified drop-off location and specified time as per your signed rental contract agreement.

  • Any changes to the drop-off time and location must be communicate to JC Car Hire at least 6 hours prior to the agreed time and date stipulate on the rental agreement.
  • Any returns that occur after the agreed-upon time without prior notice (6 hours or more) will result in an additional full day’s rental. However, we ask that client strictly adhere to the rental agreement as the car may be booked for another client, in which case, an extension cannot be allowed.

INSURANCE, TAXES & COVERAGES

Taxes and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) are already included in the daily rental rate. In the event of an accident, the Hirer’s liability shall be limited to:-

Budget Vehicle – Hyundai Grand i10

Euro 1,500/- maximum liability (extra insurance and coverage is available)

This can be reduced to:-

Euro 1,000/- @ Euro 10/- per day

Euro 500/- @ Euro 15/- per day

Euro 200/- @ Euro 25/- per day

SUV – Toyota Urban Cruiser

Euro 2,000/- maximum liability (extra insurance and coverage is available)

This can be reduced to:-

Euro 1,500/- @ Euro 10/- per day

Euro 1,000/- @ Euro 18/- per day

Euro 500/- @ Euro 28/- per day

IMPORTANT INSURANCE/EXCESS POLICY

  • Any accidents caused by the Hirer while under the influence of any prohibited substance lest it be Alcohol or Drugs, the Hirer will be 100% responsible for the cost of repair of the rental car.
  • Excess is automatically null and void.
  • No individual is allowed to open the cars bonnet for any repairs, restart the battery or anything related to the car engine bay. Only the representatives of JC Car Hire are allowed to open the bonnet. If this is not adhered to or attempts to hide the damages or fix it, the excess paid will be null and void, and the Hirer will be held liable for all costs.
  • No one other than the representative of JC Car Hire is allowed to sanction towing of the rented vehicle.
  • Any accidents, scratched, dents needs to be reported to JC Car Hire immediately after the incident. This will allow us to serve you with appropriate service and quotes for repairs in a timely manner.

VALET

When exploring the beautiful shores of Praslin, we understood that sand is inevitable, however, we kindly ask our client TO KEEP SAND AND DIRT OUT OF THE CAR

A valet charge of SCR 500/€ 30 is applied in the following instances:-

  • Wet seats
  • Sand everywhere in the car especially under the foot rubber mat, on the seats, driving consoles, dashboard, doors, centre console and booth compartment.

Our beach sand has high salt content which can easily rust and damage the car. We kindly ask our client to keep this in mind.

TYRE AND GLASS PROTECTION

Client can sign up for the Tyre and Glass Protection plan, which they will not be held responsible or liable for any further charges incurred to repair the damage.

Euro 6/- per day for Budget car

Euro 8/- per day for SUV

Without the glass protection plan any windscreen chip or breakage the cost to repair can start from Euro 400/- onwards.

The tyre protection plan DOES NOT include the rims and the wheel cap.

UNLIMITED MILEAGE

No worries about mileage, it’s unlimited and you can explore the island to your heart’s desire.

REFUELLING POLICY

Cars are given full tank and needs to return full tank of fuel.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event you wish to cancel your reservation, please be aware that there are financial consequences

  • Booking cancelled at least 48 hours prior to delivery time will receive 30% refund of the prepaid balance
  • Booking cancelled at least 24 hours prior to delivery time will receive 50% refund of the prepaid balance
  • Booking cancelled within 24 hour prior to delivery time or NO SHOW at the delivery location and time will receive 0% refund of the prepaid balance.
